It's no fun keeping a website for a band if nobody will tell you whether they've broken up or not.

Not much is new in the world of Defunct, except for the earthshattering piece of news that reads as follows: Both Andrew Burnett and Andrew Bondy have undergone...haircuts. All the photos of the Andrews are therefore now null and void, as the longish 70's rock hair of both of them had no longer exists. A moment of silence for the hair...

It's about time we linked our
sister site.
Totally unrelated news:

PHOTOS PHOTOS PHOTOS!
Yes, that's right, I finally got the
cafeteria show photos developed, scanned, and ready for worldwide consumption. Have a look.

The search for a new drummer continues. Bondy went around tacking up flyers advertising Defunct's need for a drummer. (No pay for your effort, just good times and lots of em.) Once again, email the link below if you or someone you know is able and willing to be our drummer.

Well, the show last week went quite nicely, I thought. (No thanks to the mean people eating their lunch who refused to show their support for HNH's preeminent - and only - rock band. Don't be so picky, kids. They're all we've got.)

Max Roach has left the band... Due to circumstances beyond anybody's control. Maxwell Roach has resigned as the drummer of Defunct. He will be sorely missed by the band and its fans (Defunctionneers?). If you have any idea as to where we can find another drummer, contact Natalia at
kevshoulddrive@hotmail.com. The fate of the band probably rests in your hands.

Bondy and Matt are starting up a new side band in the meantime: they're called the Acoustic Army. More on that coming when Bondy decides to enlighten me.

Defunct. Show. Holy Names. Wednesday.

The band's playing at HNH on February 27, 2002 (in either the Caf or the Gym, but they're right next to one another anyway). The show's at lunch. Come and watch. There will be fun, good music, and/or pine nuts.

A Defunct documentary is in the works...more news on that when there is some.
